Infant & Child Health

It is always a joy to get to work with newborns, toddlers and children. I often give newborns a craniosacral session to help decompress the spine, release tensions in the abdomen, and in the case of a cesarean birth, renegotiate an interrupted craniosacral rhythm. I’ve had the pleasure of finding the right supplement to keep a chronically constipated toddler going regularly, and helping a restless child find rhythm in his sleep cycle once again with craniosacral therapy. Abdominal massage is loved by all ages, and it’s fun to teach them how to rub their own bellies for a lifetime of good self care!

I have helped infants and children with:

  • Newborn postpartum care for the cranial rhythm
  • Colic
  • Irregular bowel movements (constipation and diarrhea)
  • Irregular sleep cycles/insomnia
  • Body/mind integration

“My 9 year old son injured his neck playing soccer at school.  It continued to be very painful for several days, and he started having a facial tic accompanying the very stiff neck.  I was very concerned.  I contacted Michelle to see if she had any input about his injury and she suggested he come in for an appointment.  By this time the facial tic was happening very frequently and I was getting scared.  Michelle saw him for an hour.  She talked to him briefly and then did craniosacral therapy the rest of the time.  At the end she gave us some flower essences to take home to put in his water as often as we thought of it.  From the very end of his appointment with Michelle, my son’s neck pain and stiffness, as well as his facial tic, were completely gone.  I have experienced some incredible and fast health improvements with myself after appointments with Michelle and even I could not believe how effective her treatment was.  It was amazing.  Now, a full week and a half after his injury, my son continues to have no pain or tic.  I just could not recommend Michelle more; she is an incredibly gifted and intuitive healer.”
